Another perfect day in Grand Junction. Today is Game Day as SMSU faces Minnesota State, Mankato at 3:30 MDT (that is 4:30 in Minnesota) in its opening round game. The team will have lunch at 11 am and then head over to batting practice around 12:45.
I'll be heading to the ballpark around 11:30 to get set up and watch Wayne State and New Mexico Highlands.
Last night, the coaches and administrators meet at Mesa State to talk over rules, etc. Nothing major to discuss. Just simple NCAA rules, etc.
Had some down time in the hotel after the meeting. I, along with Chris Hmielewski, and the coaching staff then had a late dinner at The Village Inn in GJ before calling it a night.
I'll check back later today! Remember to keep up with the game by watching live stats.
