Sitting here high above Suplizio Field watching Wayne State take on New Mexico Highlands. Great spot to watch a game. SMSU is back from eating lunch and will be heading to batting practice soon.
Chris Hmielewski, coach Blanchard and I drove early to watch this first game. Chris actually went for a jog behind the baseball field. Right next door is the city football stadium where high schools and Mesa State play their games. The field is actually getting set-up as we speak for Mesa State graduation on Saturday.
I've had a busy morning prior to coming to the ballpark. Did my weekly radio update on KWOA radio in Worthington. Then spent about an hour updating the national ballot for the Daktronics All-America program. I serve as vice-chairman of the committee. Derek West and Andrew Kinney were both named all-region first team on Wednesday and are on the national ballot.

Lofty...how many fans do we have in attendance??? Hopefully, a good number. The guys deserve our support to aid in the beating that we are going to throw on the Mavs!!!
